Overview: We are a thriving performing arts studio located in Encinitas, CA. Our studio is dedicated to providing exceptional education and fostering a love for performing arts among our students. With a passionate team and a commitment to excellence, we strive to create a positive and inspiring environment for performers of all ages and skill levels. 

Responsibilities: As an instructor at our studio, you will be responsible for developing curriculum, conducting classes, choreographing recital and/or competition pieces, assessing student abilities, providing feedback and attending monthly zoom staff meetings.  Your contributions will play a key role in ensuring the success and growth of our studio. We measure success in this role by the monthly student retention of your classes and quarterly teacher check-in’s.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in the required dance technique/style

  • Strong understanding of dance pedagogy and the ability to develop age-appropriate curriculum.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages and skill levels.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Experience in choreographing and directing dance performances and recitals.

  • At least 5 years of prior teaching experience (preferred)

Additional Requirements:

  • Background check and clearances as required by the institution or state.

  • Availability to work evenings and/or weekends, as required by class schedules and performances.

  • Responding to emails & slack messages in a timely matter

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with dance trends and techniques.

Compensation:

Pay tier will be based on experience, education, certifications, and studio owner assessment. 

  • Tier 1: $30-35/hr

  • Tier 2: $35-40/hr

  • Tier 3: $40-45/hr

  • Tier 4: $45-50/hr

Hiring Process:

  2. Initial Interview: Selected candidates will be invited for an initial interview to discuss their qualifications and alignment with our studio's values. 

  3. Skill Assessment: Depending on the role, there may be a skill assessment or demonstration required. 

  4. Final Interview: A final interview will be conducted with key members of our team to further evaluate the candidate's fit and potential contributions. 

  5. Job Offer: A job offer will be extended to the successful candidate, followed by a formal contract upon acceptance.
